• Asharqia Chamber reviews the ability of emerging companies to invest in the telecommunications and technology sector

    Asharqia Chamber was held a meeting within the activities and programs of the Committee on Communications and Technology that talks about investment in telecommunications and technology, where it reviewed the experience of the founding partner of Raed Ventures Investment Omar Bin Ali Al-Majdoui, and CEO of Roya Investment Company, Eng. Qais bin Abdul Hamid Al-Issa, at the headquarter of the Chamber on Monday 20 May 2019.

    The meeting has witnessed a distinguished presence of specialists and interested parties.

     

    The meeting was opened by a member of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Chairman of the Committee Nasser bin Rashid Al Bajash, who stressed that the meeting comes with the aim of introducing the pioneers of the sector from the people of the Eastern region with successful national investment experiences in a sector that is the top priority of the country's economic transformation and definition, as well as the Pioneers Investment Fund and its tools and calibration in the selection of investment opportunities.

     

    Al-Bajash said that based on the importance of recognizing successful experiences and learning about their details and intentions, the meeting reviewed two successful experiences in the ICT sector: (Raed Ventures), which aims to create significant financial and strategic returns for investors while offering exceptional value to emerging companies, and (Roya Investment), which has been able to provide a pioneering experience in the field to be presented to future generations.

    Al-Bijash pointed that this meeting will host these two experiences with expertise and knowledge in the world of communications and information technology, which confirmed the importance of learning about the experiences of successful people in order to draw lessons to benefit from the development of the capabilities of young entrepreneurs who are wishing to invest in the telecommunications and information technology sector, especially in the light of the new developments in the sector currently.

     

    The meeting, which was conducted by a member of the Communications and Technology Committee in the Chamber Khaled Al-Thawadi, stressed that the market is ready to receive emerging companies in the field of technology provided that their investment ideas more realistic and distinctive.

    He pointed out that entrepreneurs have the enthusiasm and ability to make excellence, and here they must present their ideas to investors away from the commitment to promises, but to think about how to convince the investor about the market acceptance of the ideas they propose, and the possibility of transformation towards the new.

     

    The meeting reviewed the importance of the local market and its impact through investment in the technology sector.

    It pointed out that the small investor must have a vision to work in this sector.

    They stressed the importance of continuous development of performance and potential.

    The meeting stressed that the advantage of technical projects that is the speed of growth and expansion and access to all segments at the lowest costs so investment in it is a catalyst.

     But, it requires several factors, including openness to the cultures and global competencies and follow-up to everything new in this science.

     

    In conclusion, the Chamber's Board Member and Chairman Nasser bin Rashid Al Bajash honored the co-founded by Raed Ventures for Investment Omar Bin Ali Al-Majdoui and the Executive Director of Roya Investment Company Eng. Qais bin Abdul Hamid Al-Issa with memorial plaques.​
